Askham Place is a purpose-built facility for young adults seeking to sustain independence through ongoing rehabilitation. Askham Place is no ordinary home. It’s a unique place for young adults to live with as much independence and freedom as their condition allows. What makes Askham Place special is that it was built with input from some of the most important people – our intended residents! This has ensured that the facilities enhance quality of life for all, whether your stay is for respite, rehabilitation or for continuing/long-term care.
So, what’s important to our Askham Place residents? They like to socialise, to learn, grow and above all, have fun! Everything from the large communal areas to the bright, airy and light spaces throughout are designed to encourage an inclusive and positive environment where everyone feels at home, not in a home.
Set in the stunning seven acres in Cambridgeshire, Askham Place is one of the five specialist care homes specialised in rehabilitation
Every room is en-suite and has independent access which helps to promote a sense of freedom and personal ownership of space – something that’s especially important for our residents. We have overhead tracking in all rooms to improve mobility and make day-to-day life easier for everyone. All residents have access to our onsite multi-disciplinary team who offer a range of therapies including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Hydrotherapy and Psychology.
We truly believe there’s more to life than just basic needs and we also know that no two of our residents at Askham Place are the same. That’s why we strive to make sure everyone’s personal, social, emotional and spiritual needs are recognised, and then supported, to help people to reach their potential through an active and rewarding life.

Having been designed in close consultation with the intended client group we have ensured that all facilities provide for and enhance the quality of life of each resident whether for respite, rehabilitation or for continuing/long term care. A registered Care Home with excellent Nursing, that provides specialist and continuing care for the young physically disabled requiring professional support within an independent living environment.
